Lembeh Strait

Are you looking for a combination of unique dive sites, a fantastically located resort and personal attention? If so, Divers Lodge Lembeh is the ideal resort for your scuba diving holiday.

At the north east tip of Sulawesi, formerly called Celebes, in the middle of the Indonesian archipelago, are found the world′s most beautiful scuba diving sites.
This area is easily accessible. The capital Manado (Menado) has an international airport, which can be reached directly from Singapore. Within only one and a half hours of leaving the airport, you can be on Lembeh Island at Divers Lodge Lembeh, surrounded by the sea, breathtaking nature and great hospitality.

Initially North Sulawesi was primarily known for the Bunaken National Marine Park. In recent years, more and more divers have discovered the enormous diversity of underwater life of the Lembeh Strait. This stretch of sea is unique. Here you can find all sorts of so called critters on the typical black volcanic sand, as well as beautiful coral gardens, walls and several wrecks. It is not unusual to see a number of different seahorses, frogfishes, ghost pipe fishes and countless nudibranchs in just one dive.

Divers Lodge Lembeh sets a new standard in diving. You can discover the underwater life at your own pace, when and where you choose, and with never more than two guests accompanied by one of our excellent guides. These are ideal conditions to observe the underwater creatures and to photograph or film them. We have four boats of differing sizes which were custom designed by us and these offer you all the required conveniences. Divers Lodge Lembeh has the best boats in Lembeh Strait! You can even reserve a boat of your own. This is what we call customized diving!

Although our boats are spacious and comfortable they are still quite fast. Some distances in minutes; Goby a Crab (Tanjung Lampu) 8 minutes, Indah Wreck 10 minutes, Nudi Falls 15 minutes, Hairball (which is actually only 10 kilometers from our Lodge) 25 minutes. These times are including taking off from our beach and mooring on the site.

Usually our guests prefer to take their lunch with them on the boat. You can rinse your camera in a basin with fresh water and the cabin of the boat is always dry and clean inside and thus a safe place to change films and/or batteries. It is also possible to charge your batteries on the boat. The cabin of the boat is high enough for you to stand straight up. The boat has a toilet.

Our house reef offers apart from other things an amazing amount of Mandarin fish. But also here we prefer to dive from a boat. You can easily make up to 4 or 5 dives if you want.

We now offer the solution for your luggage problems. You can hire brand new top quality dive gear and a perfect dive suit.
Complete set starting from only Euro 10, - per day: top model weight integrated Seaquest jacket, Aqualung regulatorset, Bare 5/4 full suit and fins.

Our accommodation is also made to measure our standard. Our six detached bungalows with sufficient distance in between guarantee you much privacy. From your private verandah you have a magnificent view of the beautiful bay, volcanoes and surrounding scenery. The non-smoking restaurant and lounge offers a place to socialize with other divers. We try to avoid MSG (monosodium glutamate) as much as possible in our cooking. We do not prepare or serve reef fish, lobster, pork, dog or bush meat.

Wireless internet access is available in the restaurant and lounge area for free. There’s a Laptop which you can use to access the internet.

We decided not to make a separate camera room. All our guests prefer to take their cameras with them to the room. Thus we put extra tables in the bungalows with rubber covers and plenty of plugs.

If you have enough time, you can combine your holiday on Lembeh with a visit to the Bunaken National Marine Park, the Bangka Islands in the North or the jungle of the Tangkoko National Park.

As you can see from our pricelist, it is still possible to have a dream holiday which is affordable.

Rob and Linda Sinke own and manage Divers Lodge Lembeh, with help from a dedicated team of Indonesian staff. Rob, a PADI master instructor, is from the Netherlands and Linda his wife is Indonesian. Dutch, English, German and of course Indonesian are spoken at the resort.
